Hi Folks,

Revo day was Saturday, today I finally managed to get some air under my wings again using a older little RTF Commander. I had not flown anything other than real airplanes in the last 3 years and felt safer using my old plastic commander to warm me up again. With approx 5-6 mph winds, a huge property and two dogs incl. the neighbors 2 horses looking up in amazement I felt the rush of adrenaline, once that thing was out of my hands.
5 handlaunches and 25 minutes later the thing came home in one piece.

 Nice day!

:bowtothercnt:

Good job. I have to still dust off my planes and condition my batteries. It's been cool and windy here so I'm not quite ready to get out there. But soon.

Always a good idea to take an easy flying aircraft out on the first time.
I made the mistake of taking out my scratch-built Fokker one year on the first flight...

Dumb-thumbed it into the ground. Not much left.
Man I loved that plane.

Glad to see some of ya flying. Not sure if I will this year. But I'll be out there a little.

Is the Commander electric or nitro, any pics? My manager is into planes, he has an old Kyosho Auto Kite .15 that is pretty cool. He just ordered a new tower hobbies .40 trainer with a 63 inch wing span. Should be here on Wednesday, can't wait to see that thing in the air. Watching him fly has given me the itch but I'm thinking about starting with electric.

It's an electric RTF high wing, pushprop with 2 channels.
Great Starters with about 25-35 minutes of flying time on a single charge.
It gets it's trust from the angle of the little motor combined with the elevators fixed (but adjustable) angle of attack.
I learned to fly on a 3 channel (elevator, power, rudder) electric glider at age 10, went on to a 4 channel trainer and then started shoeboxing aerobatic airplanes. Then I stopped flying for years and years, because of my real flighttraining. Anyhow, this was a less than 100 dollar game back into it, it's fun, slow, steady and teaches you enough basics to get going again or initially.
With a direct headwind and some training it will easily fly a loop (just add full power) and is a very nice "energy management" and speed control trainer.
I'll try to get you a pic later. :)
