RC Driving Style
  1. Bashing
Well after installing cvds in my merv I had sometime to run with my son. After about 20min I blew the rear center drive shaft. My sons is all stock and never had lipo so his is holding up just fine. Mine is used and has had 3s before maybe that's why just worn out. I've rebuilt both diffs they were shot. I'm just hoping I can keep the drive train together for a full session. :\

I kind of agree, i dislike their drive shafts. they claim they are water proof but the seals on the suck.. they wear out very fast after just about a gallon of gas they are all cracked.

And on top of that you have to worry about binding, if you droop te arms too low in some cases..

Over all i would say one of the first upgrades on any traxxas product is the shafts and upgrade to the metal CV's.

I have had the same shafts on my maxx's the only one that I have had to replace a couple times is on my classic that I am now running a 3.3 in with stcok classic shafts.

When I had my 2.5 revo I never had a problem with my shafts. This little guy eats them. I upgraded the drive e shafts to cvds. And when the rear center shaft broke I looked at the old stock shafts and the inside part of the shaft fits the rear center perfectly. So I'll see how long it holds up. Maybe I should back my slipper out just a touch.

my maxx I've never had problems with shafts , the slash on the other hand didnt last too long the amount of power and hammer it takes is understandable

Haven't had any problems with the driveshafts on my mERV even running on 3s.
