This is why you don't buy LiPo's off Amazon. I have in the past bought some small drone batteries off Amazon, just for the free and fast delivery. I shoulda just flushed my money down the toilet.
Zeee may be considered a good battery by many in the hobby, but when Grey did his tests on them they were really crap compared to similarly priced CNHL, Liperior, and Zippy batteries.
Yeah, I get your point, but at the time, I was looking for some 2s 1500mAh packs, and I didn't really do a ton of research on each of those brands. The balancing thing is partially my fault though, you see, most of the time, I don't have the time to just drive for like 20+ minutes, so quick spins, coupled with my conservative driving style, equals me not having to charge the LiPo all the way. If I had a better charger with a storage charge function, I'd probably full charge and fully balance the LiPo a lot more, but I don't have a charger that does that, so that means most of the time I don't fully charge the pack. Because most of the "balancing" happens near full charge, my packs don't always get balanced that much, so that plus the cheaper LiPos is probably why one of them is a little unbalanced ATM.
I'm going to get a better charger sometime!
Oh, interesting. That reminds me, I miss
@Greywolf74, I hope he'll come back! I found out last night that
CNHL have a 2s, 1500mAh, 100c (continuous, 200c brust!) LiPo with a Deans connector, and it's cheap! Seems too good to be true, but from what I've heard about CNHL, it's true. Only two downsides, the first being it's only sold on CNHL's website (never bought from them before), and not Amazon (Amazon carries a CNHL two-pack, the LiPos are identical other than the fact the Amazon CNHL's have XT60 connectors, and I can't solder).
The other small issue is that it's not in stock, and I have a gut feel that it might stay out of stock for a while, but hopefully I'm wrong! For <$10 you're getting A LOT of LiPo for your $$, and apparently, you're getting a lot of GOOD quality LiPo for your buck!
BTW, for anyone who's gonna be like "You can use adapters for the Amazon CNHL LiPos!", yes, I know, but I would prefer to not use adapters again (I used Tamiya to Deans adapters for my old brushed setup in my 144001...don't even get me started on why the heck HobbyWing still uses...let's just say, the mediocre Tamiya connectors on some of their budget ESCs).
Plus, the Amazon CNHL packs are more expensive at $26 for two, but all things considered, that's only $2 more than the two pack of Awanfi batteries cost me, and that's still a good deal. I've rambled enough now!
I use zee almost exclusively. I run 5200 50c packs and have had many for almost 2 years and running. I've only had one issue with zee in the past. One came dead but they replaced it no issues
Same here
@Kimmie28 , I use Zeee and no issues.
Do you guys have any of the other brands of LiPos that
@WickedFog recommends (ie. CNHL, Liperior, and Zippy) to compare the Zeees against? I'm wondering how much of a difference in actual running there is between the Zeees and those other brands, Grey's testing was super good, but real-life bashing/running can have different results than controlled testing, like sometimes you can't really feel that much of a difference between different C ratings.
