Sup lads,

I was at one of my fave LHS's today and they had a (SHOE-macker) (sorry but I Can't remember how it was spelled but if I remember correctly that's how it sounded). buggy and on road touring car ("THE worlds fastest stock buggy and on road). I have no intrest in any more on road cars (I'm selling all of mine but my Losi XXX) but I'd definitley be interested in a 1/10 scale buggy.

It comes with an ABC .21 which I've never even heard of, my bud at the LHS said it's a good motor but then again he wouldn't tell me if it was a dog either...lol. Anyone have any experience with this motor???

Everyone I've talked to about the Shoemackers basically says the same things......."the parts are hard to come buy", "their designs are usually dramatically different from other compaines and "They build great stuff"!!! They claim the buggy will do 70+ mph @ sea level (I'm @ 5000+ ft.) and I'd probably break chit within a month but it sounds sweet....... If I really wanted balls to the walls power I could slap one of the Wasp/Outlaw motors that I have in it and sell the ABC motor on E-bay!

Any commments, experience, opinions???

TIA

I have a friend that has one,not the buggy but the fusion,
Yes, they are fast, but the chassis and suspension parts have a really cheap feel to them, if you are new to buggys then learn more about them before you buy one of these, they are a different breed, buggys are designed for dirt tracks and thats where they work best, one wrong move with a buggy going down the street at 65+ and it would shatter in a zillion pieces! I used to think that speed was everything until I got a car that ran and handled well, now I realize that driving skills make all the difference,a 70mph buggy is useless if you can't conrtol it!

I have seen the Schumacher Fusion in action and I must say, when the dude busted it out, everyone else stopped runnin' to stare. It is crazy fast in all gears. :jet: True you must be an experienced driver or have a titanium set of balls to run one, it is sweet. Quality of the ride seemed sound. He flipped it a few times and it didn't have a problem. Parts can be had from Stormoer Hobbies or Harco Hobbies. Just have to wait a few days for shipping. Being an offroad person myself, I have opted for the Menace. It is currently on the way to my front door from Harco Hobbies. :w00t:
