Any Unreal Tournament 99' players out there??

This game was my life for the past couple years. Last summer, my mom deleted it because she said it was taking up memory. I have ALL the levels, ALL the maps, ALL the players, ALL the voicepacks and everything else. It took the guy who hooked me up with all this like 5 years to obtain all of this. Basically, i do have alot of crap. I reciently discovered unreal tournament on my comp files. She deleted the shortcut and infact, didnt delete the game. I asked her if the comp was better now that she deleted it and she said it was so much better. I can't believe her! that just blows my mind!

UnrealTournament,are you joking.I was playing 6-7 hours each night when it came out,the demo I knew how to kill people eyes closed.

Loved the three tower level,beat many great players in deathmatches and they could often not score a single kill.These were the days,blasted practicing against the computer on Alpha and Omega against 15 computer players.Try that :whip:

Once you beat Unreal Tornament on Alpha and Omega against 15 computers players time after time you will know no pain.And beat it by double the score of the next best PC player.

Never played UT online. I always enjoyed whooping the bots asses. What I was good at was tfc, I could play any class but I was damn near unstoppable as a sniper. I lost interest stopped playing when my clan broke up and the servers I knew people on close. Then tried to play again with dsl was never the same.

Crowbar killing 40 people on an extended level of push was great. So was beating down the vip in hunted with a crowbar. I had a crapload of demos and screen but I fragged my hd a few years ago. Lost all my music and some models and skins I customized fo cs and my favorite custom spraypaint a half naked angel.

I always got a kick out of playing the pyramid map with an early infiltration mod and lobbing grenades down the middle section and having the slowly float down to different levels and wiping them completely out.

Do you play Red Orchestra for ut2004?

I used to play Unreal 99... lost interest because my comp was laggy and the vid card sucked. I am now into Battlefield 2. Just ordered an eVGA Geforce 7800gs CO 256 card and 2gb of ram, so i should be set. This stock vid card is crap.

I do not like UT2004 as much,the game is no longer as pure,too much eye candy.When playing the original UT I play minimum detail and high rez.Even with a Hulk like PC,the only goal being deal death and evade all that can be evaded.

Right now I've purchased a Crissfire mobo for my Athlon 4000 and dual ATI X1900XTX and 1900 Crossfire cards.Sick setup,FEAR is water fluid at 1600*1200,softshadows and all detail maxed!

Ask purists and Quake 2 & 3 with UT is pure deathmatch,matches often lasting a under a minute on a 16 player map with max player count.Its one headshot after the other. :stickup:

Well playing the comp bots and people online is so much different. its like a totally different game. The players are god like. A 30 kill match in my klan lasts like 25 seconds. I played with the online players in my clan and got a little better, and even though they dominated me, when i went back to school and played the demo version with everybody at school(the comps. were connected) and played the hot shots, HA! i beat them like 30 to 2 kills. You have to have a online patch CD. When i downloaded Unreal Tournament 99' i had 4 cds to download. Took me bout 2 1/2 hours to do it. I was a sniper in my Klan and i got dang good at it too. hide up in the bunkers and pop everyones heads off that are trying to get my team mates. Yeah, and also there are all new weapons online. There are like 10 different versions of the sniper rifle alone. i.e. benladen slayer, cherrybomber rifle, automatic rifle, plazma rifle, auto aimer, and a few others.

I used to play half life. When I was in college we played on the lan. It took me a while but I got pretty good. Is the game you guys are talking about kind of like hl?

If your talking about straight hl deathmatch... it's similar, but UT has mutators for things like low grav, big head, instagib.

I'm trying to get mom to let me redownload it. Yeah, i also had the cartman voice pack and he said alot of really funny stuff, when i hit a key.
