I'm in the middle of a restoration on three cars right now.

Tamiya Hornet
AYK Pro Radiant
Yokomo Dogfighter 834b

Just wondering how others are fairing in the battle to find useable parts? eBay has been my main outlet lately but man the prices!! I opted to go for a RTR restoration over a shelf new looking one, untouched parts are nearly impossible to find!!

All this just because I wanted an RC car to toy with.... Jeesh, sometimes I feel like giving up and selling these things off to get funds for a newer model RTR kit!

try landjump.com they do kyosho ventage stuff and they may be able to help out they have me with a few other cars i have they aren't kyosho so try them it's a start they may be able to dirrect you some how.

You are facing the same problem as me, the r/c cars from 80's and nearly 90's are not considered vintage by many people, that makes the parts resource more difficult as it's more appealing to sell older parts with Higher prices. I've bought a Kyosho Stinger MK2 a month ago and it has been impossible to find a new body for it. The rest of the parts are not a problem for me as I can machine it in my workshop, it's very expensive but after all is part of the hobby. You shouldn't have problems to find parts for the Tamiya Hornet as there are many shops that sell Tamiya parts, the other two will be more difficult. If you are willing to sell it send me some pics

I'll have to check that forum out. So far tamiyaclub.com has been a great help.

I've been offered to sell and trade my cars a few times now. I'm open to offers as I'n not a resto guy, I just want a car to bash around the house and yard.

I have all three about RTR. I need to get a radio and electronics for the dogfighter and I'll be set. Any motor recommendations?
