riding on the back of the bike...

Those things are deathtraps. My LBS (local BIKE shop) steered me waaay clear of those things. If you run into trouble while riding it's just bad news. If you want to take the little little one out please invest in a trailer like a Burley (brand). That are NOT cheap but they are waaay safer. Maybe you can find a used one somewhere like on Craigs List or something. We have a single seat Burley and I think it was like $400 or something like that. We've had it a couple years now. Chase spent a bit of time in it and now it's our little girls turn as Chase (as mentioned before) is beginning to ride by himself now.
 
+1 on the tow trailer. Another thing bout them you can have the kids stuff like bag and snacks n such.
 
I agree fellas. Was just speaking in the Cute terms... We are looking at the trailers as those seat just don't look safe at all. The gentleman at the bike shop did not recomend them at all. Thank you though for the info on the trailer.
