Any bicycle riders, looking for a bike

Well this morning I spent some time checking out LBS's and riding a few bikes and at the end of the day I'm now an owner of a Giant Talon 1 29er. Doesn't have the sweet flat black paint job like I was hoping but has other features I'm happy with compared to a few other bikes I was looking at.

So far there is no hiding the fact I'm just a bit out of shape. haha

We wanna see it. I've just started riding my bike to work, it's only 6 miles though, so the only way to make it a decent work out is to really push it. The only problem is if I have anything that comes up during the day that I have to leave work for, I have to find a ride, I can't be gone all day riding my bike.

Looks good. If you're looking for a cheap mount, look at these, they also come in lockable versions. I mounted two to my tool box and I can haul our bikes without them getting beat up in the bed of my truck. If you want something less permanent, you could use a piece of wood that's cut to fit your bed.

I was in my local bike shop yesterday afternoon picking up some parts and got the itch for a new MTB with all the new tech. They are a Trek dealer and while I didn't see one I liked on the floor, I did on their website.

Maybe I should sell most of of my RC's and get one. LOL

I thought about looking at $1,000-$1,500 bikes but thought the wife would surely kill me. I was actually surprised she wasn't upset with the $700 price tag, maybe because I got them to come down from their asking $880. haha

I need to stay out of my local bike shop. The bad part is that it's next door to Round Table Pizza where I every couple of weeks to get take-out. How I end up in the bike shop when I'm supposed to be picking up pizza is beyond me. LOL

I can certainly see myself at my LBS's as well and can see the appeal of riding. These new bikes are nothing like the old Huffy bikes I had 20 years ago!
