You know that old 6.4gb hard drive you have left over from the last upgrade? Rip it apart and take out the magnets from the read/write head actuator.

They're great for sticking things to your refrigerator and they hold small wrenches of ferrous metal composition in a neat little bundle in your toolbox.

Yeah, I stuck one of those evil magnets on my fridge, and I still can't get it back off. Came out of an old Samsung drive.

So, how do you get the magnets off of the thick metal plates?
First how do I get them off my forehead these suckers are strong.

You know Eddy's been on your computer when your monitor has those purple and green tinges...

Take a pair of vise-grips and clamp one end of the mount plate. Take a pair of slip-joint pliers, grab the other end and bend the plate. The magnet pulls right off.
