Brave souls, I now see how you got your name. I bet when I get done w/ the bash, I will be bringing my truck home in a body bag....
That means you had fun. While my heart would be broken if all 4 of my buggies came home in pieces this will probably be my last bash until August so I have to make it count.

I hear you....going out w/ a bang. I look forward to it. Hopefully we can get some good footage of the carnage. A video shot of your buggy flying 20ft over Sky's head would be pretty sweet.

Later...

It would be a better vid is it hit Sky after a it did the 20' launch. He says he still owes me one but those were from last year. This year's record I am 0-1. Gotta make up for lost time.

Can we get a frequency list from everyone who plans on attending. I know that I would like to be able to run all day w/out having to share frequencies w/ someone else. So if I need to change channels, there is still some time for me to pick up some extra crystals.

Anyway, I am on channel 79.
Militarymaxx is on channels 75 & 88.

How about everyone else?

The track is located in Hampton a hop, skip and a jump from Langley. M&M said about 25 minutes from NOB.

Synthasized and channel 69. El Destructo is running on 76. Sky's synthasized too.

I run 75MHz and any channel available. I am synthetic (as EP mentioned) and currently set to channel 61.

I agree that a freq listing is a good idea.

If anyone attending has a few spare crystals other that the ones they are already using it might be a good idea to bring them just in case we have a frequency conflict. I have a couple of AM crystals I I really have no need for but I'll bring them with my stuff anyway.

One set wouldn't happen to be a yellow set, would it?

Sorry guys, but I won't be able to make it. I have to work at the Post office.

So how many guys are left standing for this get together?

This looks to be the most recent listing. EP has some PMs that he may have to add/delete from this list, but it is standing pretty steady at the above.

Got the banner on Saturday.

The above is the most recent information I have regarding the attendees. We have the track reserved for both Saturday and Sunday so it looks like the Super jump will probably be in the afternoon on Sunday. Here's a link to the track we are using click here. The have directions for locals only so if you need directions if you are coming from a longer than normal distance let me know and I will do what I can to either meet you somewhere or get you an actual address.

The park does have BBQ facilities however they are about a 1/4 mile from where we are going to be so Sky and as thinking about grabbing a habachi and using that.

The area just off the track has bleachers which can work well for tables however there is absolutely no shade so if any of you have one of those portable awnings I would suggest bringing it so you can get some shade.

Since it is getting close to the hottest time of the year we are planning on starting about 8am while it's still somewhat cool.

If you have any further questions either PM Sky or myself or post it here and we will get it answered as soon as possible.

Sounds good. The maps show that it will be about a 4 - 5 hr trip for us. We should get there around 9 (depending on traffic & directions). I look forward to some MT vs. Buggy action. :boxing:

BTW, if there is anyone reading this thread & lives along the way from RDU to Hampton & you would like to attend but need a ride. Shoot me a PM b/c we have room for 1 more person if someone else wants to go.

Later....:jet:

EP didn't mention this (he's a busy man trying to figure out how he's going to land the AC), but there are 4 LHS in the area with the furthest (and best one) being 30 miles away, about a 45 minute drive from the track. I know most of us will bring everything but the kitchen sink, but just in case I'd be glad to get you there.

I would love to go. 6-7 hours is a long drive..
Have a great time this weekend boys!!!

Ok, we ran into some last minute changes. We can't do Saturday & Sunday. So we are going to run all day on Saturday. We plan on getting there between 8 & 9 am and will leave later that night, when everything is done.

BTW, I did scoop up a real cheap $20 canopy to give everyone some shade. It's not the biggest, but it will do the job. It's 8' x 11'.

Also, EP, don't you have a radar gun? I thought I came across a thread where you said that you have one. If so, do you mind bringing it to the track on Saturday. I know that I would like to clock my Savage and I'm sure others would too. If it needs some batteries or something else, LMK, b/c I can pick some up.

See you guys on Saturday at the track!!!

Later....:mex:

Yes I do have a radar gun and it's already packed for the bash. We have lost another, Benchracer01 and thus SkYLiNe RaCeR no longer has a ride to the bash. If any of you from that side of the water can see it in your heart to give the young lad a rid it would be much appriciated.
