Maybe one of you on-road guys can clear this up with me. What are they referring to when they say "roll through the center"? The only thing I can guess is the weight transition from the outside front to the rear when they get back to the gas at/after the center of the corner, but they never really clarify what it means on t.v.

Any thoughts?

My understanding is that rolling through the center is when the car wants to roll the opposite side it should be! causeing the car to run up the track

So in the middle of the turn instead of the car leaning to the left...It leans to the right @ center off

ok, well the impression I've always gotten was that "rolling" was a good thing. Like, you hear guys say the car doesn't roll well through the center. I dunno, I wish they'd explain that, they explain everything else.

Rolling is a good thing....But not at the center of the track.

The roll needs to happen @ the off part of the turn. Not at the center..

Like I said if the car starts to roll at center the car will run up the track...out of the groove

There is no mis-communication here. We are talking about the same quote.

It may not have been intentional but he still took the spot dirty. And being that he was so strong all day and led so many laps he's frustrated that he didn't win. But he's not gonna make excuses about not being able to get around the #48 because of the way he did, so he's gotta blame someone else.

o ok, but for all i care he could of ran #16 #48 and #24 into the wall.

I could care less either. Mcmurray still wouldn't have won. I just like pointing out how a lot of those guys love to make excuses....and people say Gordon is whiny... join the club.
