After looking over this thing for the last couple hours, I'm not sure if this is what I wanted. I was never really one for Traxxas or RTRs for that matter.
My only other Nitro is a Hyper 7 Pro, and it was my first. I figured if I was going to get into the hobby, I wanted to build my own, my way. A buddy of mine has buggys and stadium trucks, xxx-nts to be exact. After seeing how much fun it was to drive a 2wd truck in the loose dirt, I had decided my next Nitro was going to be a stadium truck.
I can really beat on my 7 without the fear of breaking anything major, but this thing is nothing but plastic.
I have only been in the hobby for about 2 years, and have not yet had to spend a bunch of money on new parts, and hop-ups. The only things that I needed to replace were rims, tires, and a CVA joint. I can see this truck might get a little costly. I already don't like the electronics, and after a closer look, it's the same 27MHZ frequency as my sons Stampede. I'll have to change that over to 75.*** to run it with my 2PL. The servos are definately going to get replaced, and the rims and tires have to go. I'm still undecided if I like Traxxas' EZ-Start system. It looks like a cluster of wires, and extra weight to me. I'll take a starter box, and Glow plug ignitor anyday.
I think for now I will only use the Jato for the parking lots, and keep the bashing to the buggy.
Who knows.........maybe this thing will suprise me. My 4 year old sons electric Stamped really takes a beating, and I'm not laying down money for that thing all the time.
I hate impulse buys. It's not even the color I like, but red is all they had in stock.

I went to the hobby shop to get fuel. Mini-t had been out for about 6 months. After I showed it to the wife, we were leaving with one. Not much money
I was looking at thoes too while I was there. I should have bought that instead. I'm beging to regret my purchase. That all may change once I run the Jato though.
