For a few bucks more ($79) you can get the Samsung Nook 7" and it runs Android with a Nook overlay. It works well and you can install almost anything from the Play store. The one I have works well as am e-reader and can surf the web and play streaming video with ease. It's only downfall is that it's only 16GB of internal storage, but it does have a micro-SD card slot and can handle a 128 GB micro-SD card.

I didnt know there was a newer Nook besides the 9" HD. I would have looked at one of them before I bought the LG I did. Oh well.
