I try not to be a freakin storm cloud, and this is my own fault for expecting anything but what I got…

That being said.. FU AliExpress.. Grabbed up a 1000W, 30V, 110V power supply for my new Hota S6 charger(s), as I figured, “worth a shot for the price/stats..”.. I went back and forth on that decision for a few weeks before I finally decided to squeeze the trigger..

Well it finally showed TF up.. Exactly the experience I expected from AliExpress..

-60 days to arrive
-Damaged packaging
-Not as advertised in listing
-Damaged item

Sweet.. I won’t make that mistake again. I’d much rather spend a bit more, and not get raped. I’ll fab up my own next go around. Lesson learned. 🙄🤬🤷🏻‍♂️

I haven't had any major issues with AliExpress (touch wood). But I will agree, the shipping time and packaging really sux.

The few times I've had an issue with a product, I got a refund straight away, no questions asked. Faster than ebay actually.

Ask for a refund and use the photos if required.

They require that I ship it back first. I’ll be damned if I’m gonna leave it up to them whether or not I see my money AFTER giving up the smashed electrical device. I’m honestly more comfortable taking the kick to the balls if it’s not operational, than I am dealing with the seller (which is I’m sure what they’re betting on with their “free returns” bs..).. is what it is. I’ll straighten the enclosure as much as I can, and hopefully it actually functions better than it looks.. If not, I’m only out my loot, and not further frustration by dealing with them.

Ok. Yer, I've never been asked to send something back. I probably wouldn't bother either.

I treat Aliexpress, Alibabba, wish, etc like gambling. I won't spend more than I'm willing to lose. 😂

Hopefully you can straighten it out and it's functional! Best of luck!
Exactly how I see it. Thanks cuz. 🤘

THIS is the reason I won't order from Ali.
That’s how I felt as well-as I said in the OP.. Decided I’d risk it for the biscuit, and lost.. I can assure you there won’t be a second time.

I actually have recourse with eGay, and PayPal if this would’ve happened with a seller there-not with AliExpress.. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Like I say though; next time I’ll work up my own power supply.

I lack faith in paypal too. THEY screwed up a sale and jerked me around for a month telling me there WAS no issue, then tried to make the sellers fix the problem that PAYPAL caused. After a month and I fixed the issue myself, I git an actual human involved that claimed they wanted to rectify the situation. 🤬
I think you buy carefully and eat whatever sh!t you buy, good or bad.
Usually shipping costs are so high, returns aren't worth it either.
I totally agree, shiiping your item back and waiting to see if the seller actually honors the return is even more risky!

Hopefully it works. With your mad fab skills, it'll look fine after you put a hsmmer to ot.

I've also had more complaints with Amazon and ebay dealings. Banggood can kiss my ass before I buy from them again. But I have probably bought well over $1000 worth of stuff off Ali over the years, and never had any major issues.

Guess it depends on where we're at. Ebay I've had zero issues. I'm pretty extensive when I research an item & seller. Rarely do I order a CHN location item off ebay, haven't since last year. I ordered a couple things off Amazon last week, $54, (2) items. Sheet metal seemers & a set of shears. Went thru several listings till I found the cheapest & fastest shipping. Out for delivery today. I look at feedback on ebay & location. I don't always order the cheapest. Great feedback & closer to me. I guess it's a little different in Australia. Is most ebay stuff you buy homeland or ship in?

Me too. If I'm going to order from China, I might as well use AliExpress and get it for less $. Especially if I don't need it in a hurry.

Where possible, I buy from local. But it all depends on availability. More parts are available from the US and UK but the shipping cost has got ridiculous. But shipping from France is cheap for some reason.

I used to be really more focused on the sellers feedback, rating and amount sold but not as much anymore. If I got the option of buying the same item from different sellers, then I'll look as the sellers ratings and location.

Nowadays there are ebay sellers that drop ship it from Amazon. I guess they have a Amazon Prime commercial account & can get stuff cheaper than I can, list it on eBay for a competitive price there, & drop ship it. Arrives in a Amazon Prime box or bubble mailer & they never touched the item, sit at a PC & make money off of every item sold.
