The items that have "choice" on them is refunded and shipped by ali directly. Thats usually what I look for although, sometimes what I wanted was not labeled as such. It was a gamble.

Exactly.. No standardized rule book for the “sellers”… Is what it is man. Like I say-exactly what I expected from that site. 🙄🤷🏻‍♂️
 
I will only order LOW cost items from ALI that have free shipping. So, if it’s damaged or just crap, I don’t feel like I got kicked in the balls!
Once the sent me fly strips in place of axle parts.
They gave me a hassle at first until I threatened to stop payment on the entire order for fraud.
Also, I only use my AMEX CC when deals companies like this. They offer additional buyer protection services for online ordering.
I’m sure the whole tariff situation has not made the process any better.
 
Anyone ever have an Ali express order get delivered by Amazon ?
I had an amazon package show up today with Grom in it, that I had ordered from Ali express that still is not showing even shipped yet. LOL

Not AliExpress, but for the first time I ordered something on eBay and it arrived in an Amazon package, so stupid. So unknowingly, I paid for someone else to buy something from scamazon. 🙄

I thought about that, maybe the seller just bought it off Amazon, but I paid the seller $115.00
Best deal on Amazon is $145
Not sure how well that would work out for them. LOL

If I were you, I'd call and complain right away and ask for a free replacement!!! See if you can swindle another free car for yourself, you lucky dog!!!! 🤣

That was pretty much a crazy lucky deal, still not real sure why they did that, it is showing to be delivering tomorrow.
I am wondering if it had something to do with how much I spend with them annually and very seldom return anything or complain.
Not just my personal use stuff but I buy a lot of stuff for our business through my Amazon account. Thinking maybe each user has a problem fund they where they have funds set aside for when problems arise. I really still don't understand why they did that; all I wanted was an exchange for the Livery I had ordered. Still super happy about the outcome though. Can't beat that deal.

Now the thought crossed my mind that Amazon shipped the wrong RC again, and just so happened I did have that exact same red Grom ordered from Ali express . LOL

I checked my account and the free 4s Mojave is still tracking for delivery tomorrow.
So hopefully that is not the case being the Grom was what they shipped this time around. LOL

There must be some sort of tie in with Horizon and Amazon, like Amazon is handling the Fullment of orders placed by some of the sellers on Ali express.
It happened again today.

Last week I had simply ordered 3 Groms just bought the best deals I could find, and those deals happened to be on Ali Express, on the 3 liveries I wanted, and I think all 3 Groms were from different sellers. I order a Red, a Black, and a Blue. two Brushless and one Brushed.

The Black Grom arrived today again came with other Amazon stuff delivered in an Amazon box by an Amazon driver.

I checked my Ali account yesterday and as mentioned it had not showed shipped.
This morning, I received notice from Ali express that the red one had shipped.
No tracking info but I now, for sure at least these 2 Ali orders from Horizon are being fulfilled/delivered by Amazon.

I am thinking the Ali seller is likely an international dealer of Horizon products and they make the sale on Ali send the order to Horizon and Horizon hands it off to Amazon for fulfillment. The sale prices are too low for them to simply be placing orders with the Amazon sellers. They would be losing money on every sale; it has to be some sort of arrangement with the 3 parties involved. Ali Seller, Horizon and Amazon.
 
The plot thickens today. I get this strange call from some lady I think she said she was in Oregon or some place a long way away from here.
She had back tracked a strange charge on here credit card for an Arrma Grom sold and shipped by Amazon to my business address and charged to her credit card.

I looked at my credit card statement and I was charged what I agreed to pay for it and paid exactly what that Ali express seller sold it to me for.

Seem that maybe that seller may have turned around and used some other persons stolen card info to buy it from Amazon and have it shipped to me.
least that is how this is appearing to have happened. Maybe all some innocent computer glitch or something, who really knows.
But that would sort of explain how the price on Amazon is so much more and yet it came from there anyway. WOW

Yeah, one more reason to not ever use ali for me.
Shady, stolen, not cool even if the ctedit card company makes it right. This same thing will be happening to 2 other ppl tomorrow. 😐

Yea I am going to be going through my card statement with a fine tooth comb to make sure they didn’t turn around and buy someone else’s stuff with my card info.
The charges on my card showed from Ali for exactly what they were supposed to be for and not the actual sellers.
so, I am hopeful my card info is safe. This was the first time ever using Ali express I have to think not all their sellers are crooks.
I am glad only the one item I ordered from that specific seller on Ali.

But, yes, I am likely done rolling the dice with buying anything else off Ali. Prices were really good on some stuff and crazy high on other stuff.
 
I have seen the prices... too good to be true in some cases. They add the 'new customer' deals so I'm never sure if its actually scammy low prices tho.
Fleabay offers some peace of mind for their fees at least.

I hope your card and info are safe! 🤞

Yup. All of this.

I had to cancel, and lock my card the next week. I’ll never use them again. Be forewarned; NOT worth the BS. I understand “I’ve never had an issue with them”, well a LOT of folks have.

I'm one of those, I haven't had an issue but, I haven't tried to buy things like groms, this power source I have been eye-ballin' (but won't because it will be bunk), too good to be true hobbywing stuff, etc. What I have purchased was a wack Chinese rc car someone here was claiming it to be top notch for $80, the UDIRC UCX24 (not bad), some rc boat knickknacks, a legit HW ESC that was a little cheaper than amain, some pretty good 1/7 Mojave street tires that are now way overpriced, 🤔
Theres more, I'm sure. It has mostly been cheap Chinese turds.
 
I should add had that lady not tracked down my office address and called me today, I would have never known anything sketchy had happened other then it was delivered by Amazon .

She said her card was charged exactly what Amazon charges for that black Grom. $229 plus tax, when the Ali seller sold it to me for $173 .
With that first one Amazon showed up with Monday the red brushed model, I did eventually get some emails from Ali with tracking info , proof of delivery etc. that black one I have still not seen any updates or follow up correspondence on it . Only that lady calling saying she was billed for through Amazon.
