airtronics mx-3 good radio?

The MX3 is a decent radio, the MX3S (what you bought) is better because you don't need crystals.

I like the MX3 because of the display screen. It tells you 4 things all at the same time. I had a JR radio, but I hated that you had to scroll through menu's to just see battery voltage or servo trim. With the MX3, you see battery level (a fuel tank type display), throttle trim, steering trim and a 4th thing in the middle, depends on what you want to see. I normally default to battery voltage.

If/when you need another receiver, don't waste your money on another Airtronics ($109) recever. The Novak XXtra ($68) works just fine, if not better, with the MX-3.

I have the MX-3 with crystals and I use the XXtra in my revo. I use two airtronics receivers in my savage and LST.
