i searched around but didn't find an answer.whats the difference between dual action and single action airbrushes?which one is better and why.

Dual action allows you to control the flow of paint. A single action shots the same amount of paint regardless of how far down you have the button pushed. Essentially with a single action its on or off and dual action is like having a dimmer switch. you can turn the lights (or paint in the case) down so low they are barely on or turn them all the way up to maximum brightness, if you catch my meaning.

Dual Airbrushes are generally preferred although some people will use a single action if they are just doing a large area with a single color.

Might want to watch this video. I think this was the one i watched awhile back that shed some light on a few aspects of airbrushing for me.

That is a decent how to vid. I had a single stage brush when I first started as I pretty much sprayed everything just 1 color so it covered pretty easily. As I got "better" I went with a couple dual stages as you can control the flow of paint and get very light coverage or really plow it on a specific area. You also have different needle sizes which will affect the amount of paint you can apply at once. Greywolf got you started - I would just troll youtube for a bit and learn by watching and decide whats best for your application. Just be sure to post pics of whatever you end up spraying - good or bad.

well i bought the master g33 dual action airbrush.it came with three different needles.what needle does everyone normally use for allround for the bodies.was playing around with it last night and its definatly something i am going to have to get some practice with.with that being said has anyone used this brush before and is it any good?don't really have the money for a real one.
