???????Air Brushing ??????? HELP????

well i have been painting bodies for rc cars and trucks with paint cans for a long time and no i am getting bored. I want to try out Air Brushing. But i dont want to start out with a junk gun and then build from there i want a farely good gun right from the start. I need something that will do fine lines and big lines. I wouls like a gravity feed if i can, i dont like the syphin feed style. I have been looking on ebay and there are hundreds of them on there and i am lost. If someone with experiance can help me that would be awsome. I have paint orderd for the first job (real flames) and now i need a air brush to go along with the paint. Thanx alot guys. John

You'll need a laundry list of things to get started. But the brush is the most important.
I am currently using 2 different brushes. For most of my detail stuff I use an Iwata Revolution CR which is a gravity feed dual-action. It's more budget minded but works great. I think I paid like $70 for mine and I love it.

For areas that need good coverage I fall back on my Paashe VL which is siphon feed but can cover a lot of plastic with the medium tip.

I would also recommend the Iwata line of brushes. I recently picked up the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS which is gravity feed, and has a nice large bowl.

as was stated above the you can't go wrong with the Iwata HP-CR or Iwata HP-CS, the CR is the lower cost of the 2 but is no slouch it can do fine line and medium coverage the CS is the more expensive and has a finer needle and can do finer lines and also has a cut away handle. you can't go wrong with either one a great place to order from is www.coastairbrush.com they also have a very knowledgeable staff that can help you with any questions you may have.

Another source of airbrush knowledge if www.cfxpaintworks.com home to some of the best R/C airbrushers I've ever seen and they are all willing to help.

i have been looking at this one on ebay and they have all the parts for itr in stock and the item number is 320093242178. the guy i talked to said this would be a great gun for what i am using it for. please look and tell me if this is a good or bad gun or if its good for starters.

looks like an Iwata knock off, other then that it looks like a decent brush for the price and he says he has spare parts so i'd say go for it.

Heres how I started, went to home depot and picked up a pretty good compressor, you dont need the best, but one with enough power (mine is 135psi i think). Then, i went on Bearair.com and got the Vega 2000 kit that came with a bunch of good stuff like different needles and a full set of createx paint. Then, i was ready to paint. The total cost was around $200, but definitely worth it.

well i got that air brush and some spare parts and i have 3 air compressors and 2 of them are really good. i orderd a ton of paint from the shop and once my air brush gets herar then i will do my first air brush paint job and post some pics. thanx for the help guys
