My suction brush came with two jars. One jar is 3/4 ounce and the other is 1.5 ounces. The 3/4 ounce jar threads into the cap that inserts into the brush. The 1.5 ounce jar has a larger opening and it will not thread into the cap that inserts into the brush.

How am I supposed to use the larger jar? Am I just supposed to dip the suction pickup tube into the larger jar without threading the jar into the cap? The instructions say the following:

Note: Since enamels and lacquer paints dry quickly, do not leave the Air Brush for
more than a few seconds or the paint may dry (and clog) in the Air Brush.

Have the spare glass jar filled with thinner or water, depending on the type of
paint being sprayed.

When you are finished spraying, immediately remove the paint jar from the
Air Brush, and attach the spare glass jar. Continuously Spray (on white
paper) until all residue paint is sprayed out of the Air Brush.

who makes your airbrush? you may need to get a replacement jar lid.

www.coastairbrush.com is a good place to get anything airbrush related.

if it's a new brush I'd take it back and tell them a part was missing, but more then likely they'll just look at you funny.

one thing you could do in order to clean out the brush is get a small plastic tub ( aka butter tub ) filled about half way with warm water just dip the brush into the water and spray clean provided your using water base paint. I do this with both my brushes and it works pretty well for switching colors and save a trip to the sink to rinse out the brush.

Which part of the brush are you dipping, just the pickup tube?

pretty much the pick up tube and the tip, you may want to lower the psi from the compressor a bit so as not to make a huge mess.

The easiest way to clean it out would be at the sink the running water just makes life easier, but if that is not an option then the butter tub works just fine.

another thing I forgot to mention is keep a few toothpicks handy to clear out the nozzle of any dried or clumped up paint doesn't happen all that often but when it does it can be a PITA.
