I wanna try the air brush thing and i have been reading old post.
From what I have read the Paasche VL is one of the best kits for a beginner and there is room to grow into it.
My question is whats the differnce in the one at hobbypeople.net and the one at towerhobbies.com?

Any one have a used one they would like to part with?

I have the pasache VL.....at least I think I do...I haven't used it in sooo long....no money for bodies...lol.

What kind of paint do I use for the bodies with an airbrush?

Use Parma FasKolors. Its water-base so the fumes won't kill ya, and you can spray in the house. Just make sure your compressor can handle up to 40 psi.

Ya, that's what I use as well. And any old compressor will work, just be sure you can set it for 40-50 psi...

I bought a Badger Model 175 Crescendo and have painted two bodies so far with, what I would say are, good results.
I used the Pactra Race Finish Lacquer and I'm going to try some Spaz Stix and Pactra Acrylic next. An airbrush, along with some liquid mask, makes painting so much more enjoyable.

I bought a Badger. Don't know much about them. A buddy of mine swears by his. I am satisfied with mine.
Heard nothing but good about the Paasche. Here is a link with some reveiws. http://www.airbrushtechnique.com/Reviewpost/index.php?cat=1 Hope it is a little bit of help.
Not to derail the thread, but what have ya heard bad about Paasche? I've NEVER heard anything bad about them.
