Well, fellow RC guys and gals, its official. The boss is firm in her decision to relocate us. Northern Minnesota in the windshield; Texas in the rear view mirror.

Looking to clear this AO by late May. Her idea, so she's volunteering as advance party departure in April to find us a place. Probably a good idea. She's got a gazzilion relatives up there. Gives her a foot in the door finding a place.

Me? Trail party bringing up the rear. In charge of logistics of the move, as it were. Be a short, possibly extended, delay in the 2025 UTRL RC racing season. But as the Corps says, "Adapt and overcome." Cheers. -AC

Ha! @HPIguy. Like we're trading extreme heat in the summer for extreme cold in the winter. Only "perfect" climate was Hawaii when posted there military. Sure as heck can't afford that on mil retired pay and social security.

UTRL RC will live on though in MN. RC ice and snow racing in the winter? RC boat in the summer? Hopefully find a home to rent instead of an apartment so I can put in my RC tri-oval grass track (snow field?). Fingers crossed. -AC

@Hammer Down. Menahga, MN. All of Sharon's relatives are there. Menahga is east of Minot, ND about an hours drive. We took a trip up there year ago or so and Sharon went back again last fall.

Me? Raised in Nebraska, so cold is no big thing. So, yeah, we'll adapt and overcome. Houston is just s-o-o big and congested. Time to unarse the AO. Figure I'll have to get a rental storage unit to set up the ahr43 RC shop. Hopefully not, but that's the back-up plan.

Oh, and taking the Honda Recon ATV. There'll be room up there to run her out. -AC

Hope things go smoothly for you and hope you find the perfect place. :thumbs-up: I've always thought an RC swamp boat would be cool in the snow.

I really dislike moving, moved a lot as a kid, been in our current house 20+ years. We have a lot of stuff! I can't even imagine trying to move all of our crap right now.

Thanks @Doom! Moved six times my final nine years in the Army. Retired 2002. Said I'd never move again. Oh well. Never say never.

Scheduling and 'estate sale'. Gonna get rid of a lot of stuff. No way there'll be room on the other end for it all. Probably throw a lot out too. No RC stuff though. -AC

Good luck finding the perfect home AC. Make sure you got room for a grass track 😉 I couldn't imagine having to move in my current state. So I I'm hoping yours goes smooth as silk.

Better get you a bunch of fishing gear 😁

I was a military brat, think I went to 10 different schools growing up. Heck I had four different high schools.
