No not so many unless you want to end up buying new engine then that's on you... 3 n 1 should be the only option...View attachment 135977
Alrighty then I shall pick up a can lol. Do you have any insight on why I lost forward and reverse? Spur is good motor runs great, it started to buck when first applying throttle unless I just gave it immediate 1/4 throttle. Eventually it wouldn't go anywhere untill like half throttle and it flipped over. Now it does nothing in forward or reverse just revs up. I have a warranty return set up with traxxas

Your slipper is out of adjustment.. it should be tightened all the way in.. then a ¼ to a ½ turn out that's it
Or it's the gear mesh isn't set properly.. best and easiest way. Rio a tiny ¼" wide piece of paper. Put it in between your spur and bell gear. Push the motor so the bell meshes with the spur... and pushes paper in-between the teeth.. then tighten the motor down. Did you put loctite on the screws that bolt to the engine mount. If not I would get some blue 242 loctite and use some....👍👍

The nut on the end of the spur gear?

Yes that nut is what tightens the slipper. Don't you have the manual for the truck. You should really read some of the more important info in that bud...

I took it to a rc repair shop and the guy quickly said it's probably a gear in the transmission that has gone. I did tighten that nut already but idk what it is supposed to be obviously. I'll check again tomorrow before I go ahead and ship it back. The spring is completely compressed and all seems pretty damn tight so idk

The 3servo that's attached to the reverse arm. Is the arm all the way in. Have you used the reverse??

That's the worst thing on the 2.5 imo. No need for reverse on a RC. If the servo isn't set right and you use the reverse. Sometime it won't push the rod back into the tranns. Witch would mean your in neutral... see if you can push the rod in all the way...

I have used the reverse yes but it's funny you say that because the first time I used it it stayed in reverse even though I switched it back. 🤔

It's either the gear mesh. Slipper or the reverse rod not in all the way. If it was a striped gear you would hear the teeth bouncing around in the tranns... take the tranns off and look.. its 8 screws.... the pull the two half apart. And look at the gear see if they are stripped... never bring your stuff to a hobby shop they will blow smoke up your as* just to sell you usless crap

Yea because it sucks
Another great idea traxxas had
That's why the tmaxx 3.3 doesn't have that feature. Because of all the problems with it
Try this for a day. Pull off the ball end from the gear rod. And push it all the way in see if you have any more problems. With it just spinning
