I've been racing for about a year now with just a stock radio...what are the advantages to getting a good radio, besides no glitches...i see guys at the track with radios that cose more then my whole buggy!!!! whats the deal, what can i do with a new radio, say, one around 100 bucks?

You can use more then one car with the one radio, it has a model memory. You can also adjust trim, sub trim, end points etc. Basically you can fine tune much deeper then with a basic radio. You also have approx 30 channels to choose from, basic am radios you only have 6.

what do you think is a good radio with ebough features to fine tune, but not too much so i wont be overloaded with features?

I've got a mx3 that is basicaly new.. its fm and three channle i think.. radio only no reciever.. ill take 50 bux plus tax if your interested.. its like new.. i bought it lightly used and never even used it.. i can get pics if interested.. lmk

i have the futaba 3pm..i havent tried any of the higher end radios ...but i really like the 3pm ...about $110 with 2 cheapy servos, if i had to do it again i think id really look at a synth radio, so you wouldnt have to worry about crystals

The MX-3 is pretty good. It's what I use with my savage and 1/8 buggy. Not to many features to be anoying, but enough to adjust everything I need for bashing.

no thanks on that radio beason, i think iam gonna wait until next season, silly to buy a radio, and then put it away in 2 weeks for the winter....thanks anyways...

screw winter!! i live in texas!! i dont have to put mine away!!! WEWT!!!

I used a 3pm before I got a 3pk......both are excellent...If the pm would do spektrum modules I'd still be using it......it had every feature you could possibly need in a radio......

Advantages?

First: You feels good for spending the money in it.
Second: You took it out of the box and get "W O W .... NICE"
Third: You trying to read the manual to get better understanding on how to use it
Forth: You getting tired because you don't understand what all those stuff means
Lastly: You install it and go out bash like there is no tomorrow (Priceless?)
