AA battery's TX packs Rx packs how long to charge

Ok, my son had a few 9.6 packs around so I had a quick charger for them a cheap peak charger.

Well I got a braniy Idea, I cut open all those packs, and bought a Battery holder that holds 8 AA's and has a tamiya plug on the end.

Here's my dilema. I don;t know how long to charge a 9.6 pack. The charger I have now has a 15 minute timer, and variable amp rate with an amp meter.

It also has a discharge switch

I have no idea how long to charge these guys or at what amps.. anyone have any ideas?

It all depends on the mah of the battery. Is there an mah reading on the battery? Once you know this, then you can calculate your charge time.

Are you making rx & tx packs out of the 9.6V pack?

rx packs, tx packs.. and using them to powrer my camera. when a wholepack is discharged i put it in the holder and charge tthem I have no idea of the mah it;s not on the old packs or the batteroes them selves

How much Mah is the pack for?What Mah rate is the charger for? My RX packs are 1100 and 1400Mah. I have a 100mah charger. So it would take 11 hours and 14 hours to fully charge them.

B/f you break apart one of the 9.6V packs, give it a full charge and determine the mah w/ it using a voltmeter. It is a pain in the butt to do, but can be done.

I made my own 6V RX packs from retail GP 1800mAH AA NiMH cells.
Instructions printed on the cells says to charge at 500mA.
I use a multi-voltage peak charger set to 7.2v/500mA.
No problems so far.

No wait, that's probably 7.0V not 7.2V.

How can I tell MaH with a voltmeter?

I am takign th e packs apart only to use them. When it comes to charge time I put them in a 8 cell holder and use my timed charger on it.
