RC Driving Style
Hi all... batteries are almost charged :-) I have a question about the first run of the truggy... once I get it started on the starter box do I need to leave it there for a specified amount of time? And once I take it off is there anything I need to be aware of the first time I drive the car? e.g. don't drive over grass, hills etc

Is it brand new? If so, it has to be broken in before you do anything. The Losi manual has instructions that work pretty good, otherwise look in the Engines forum here, and use the heat cycle break-in method.

I read the Operations Guide which was good... still not 100% though I'm afraid. It says the 'first three tanks of fuel should be run with the high- low-speed needles noticeably rich'... so I'm not sure which needles to change, is it both? And do they both go counter-clockwise?

Factory settings should do for the first three tanks, clockwise will lean it, counter-clockwise to richen. The screw in the brass fitting is the HSN (High speed needle) the one in the end of the carb is the LSN (low speed needle). On the side of the carb, facing backward, is the idle set screw, clockwise to lower the idle, counter to raise.
