A shot that I forgot to add to my original post. The one that actually shows the internals and the 4WS setup in action :)

Hi all :)

So I just finished my 4WS "TRX4M" Injora build. The platform really is not designed for 4WS but it works out just fine and adds a lot of dynamic capabilities to this little crawler. I have tried to pack as much performance into the build as possible along with the compromises the platform comes with. The body is not the lightest but I wanted it for aesthetics anyway.

Weight destribution is at 57/43% front vs rear by adding quite a bit of brass parts in the front axle to compensate for the rear servo (diff cover, C-hubs, knuckes, front wheel brass inlays). Would have prefered just a bit more front weight but that would mean I would have to go creative. Also added front overdrive of 16% which really helps the little truck to pull itself upwards.

On the electronic side I sticked with Injora 11kg servos. They are very fast and have plenty of torque. Went with the new Hobbywing QuicRun Mini 24 brushless motor and ESC combo featuring FOC and buttersmooth throttle control. Everything controlled by a FlySky receiver pared with my Noble NB4+ to allow for a lot of customisation and control of the 4WS.

Some key specs:

  • 1.3" alloy wheels and Swamp Claw tires
  • Injora +4mm metal axles
  • Injora LCG Carbon chassis
  • All metal Injora driveline and 59% underdrive transmission gears
  • 16% front overdrive
  • 59mm shocks with 25wt shock oil
  • Custom painted Injora IR40 body
Hope you like it :)
