Based on AMain's price, I would say that the current $395 is close to where their final number will be. $335 after the code may very well be the best price.

I'm just going to pre-order from Tower. I can always cancel if the price drops or if a better deal is found before it ships.

I was thinking of waiting till I could get an e-bay roller, but I dont think I can wait that long! I may start selling off some of my stuff to help with the purchase. I think I can raise about $300 toward the purchase by selling my nimh bats, all the aluminum from my bandit, and parting out the e-sav. I get more exited about this platform every day.

Yes, but Ofna's sct that will be out soon is 4wd. I like this Slash way better than the two wheel drive version but if Ofna offers a version of theirs with no radio gear it may give this some competition right away. Either way it's nice to see another 4wd sct out there now.

I've seen the ofna sct 4wd jammen thing ...at the track racing in mod...it put the power down to the ground turn goods jumps ok ....bad....it high side alot do to it 1/8th like chassis and if you push it your at the end of the corner understeering...i wouldnt buy it...it just like a 1/8 nothing new.....traxxas got it right just what i ask for...

I have only been this excited about the release of a new RC once before.

Oddly it was also a Traxxas....the ERevo.

at first i was saying to myself, double the freaking price for 2 more wheels to spin??? no thanks, but then i noticed it included a $170 power system.. so it looks like for the front wheels to spin, you spend an extra $40-$50.. IMO very worth it!! I'm gonna wait though to get one because i need to sell a bunch of stuff first!!! ill be buying the platinum edition!!!!!
