3s motor esc combo

my need for speed is getting to me.
I have a 1/0 on road car and i would love get it to good speeds.

what can you guys recommend?

i'm thinking Leopard 10500KV Sensored 3.5T Brushless Motor with mamba max pro.

recommendations? I don't want to burn anything. I don't mind if it runs hot as long as it doesn't burn down!!

thinking of speed runs and shutting it down, no prolonged runs.

Will that motor even handle 3S? That's a LOT of RPM....


Edit... Kershaw says 2S on that motor for drag racing. I'm all about "hey y'all watch this" but I'd hate to see you sacrifice a chassis cause the motor exploded. I have a 6700 motor in my toolbox that I haven't decided what to do with from the same fear.

I have to agree. You need to see what motors are rated for 3s (11.1v nominal). Most of the road racers I know run around a 7.5 turn motor and 2s LiPo with a tall gear. On my VTA car, I run a 2s and 21.5t Novack Motor and ESC (per spec).
