all good points, but i dont see myself racing all that much. just some driveway runs and maybe a make shift track/drifting course at the local school.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't race it more than a few times/year but that's enough for me... hell that's about all ANY of my r/c's see in runtime these days, especially with these BS schedules the wife and I are working right now. I had that really nice M18 that I messed around with in the street but I got bored rather quickly. For me a road car only serves one purpose... to be raced. For whatever reason I get absolutely zero satisfaction out of running a TC outside of a dedicated track. :shrug: I guess I'm just a racer by nature.

I need some more Daytona yellow, that lighter orange needs to be a bit lighter I think. It looks too similar to the other shade.

I havn't forgot fellas Now that the crazy holiday season has passed I've gotten back to the big project. Over the last couple of days I've managed to get all of the bodies trimmed so it's time for some cleaning and masking.

The 1/10 scale lids have multiple cut lines. I cut the bodies and the wings such that you would have the option of trimming them further if you ever intend on using them in competition. I'm not familiar with ROAR rules or whatever but I cut the bodies along the lowest line which was marked as BRCA, which is British RC Association I believe. At any rate, the other cut lines are there on the bodies and wings so if you need to trim them to suite regulation or if you need them as they are you have that option. Just an FYI. Getting excited here. I've been doing a little just about every night after work. That's pretty much the only way I'll ever get it done. A little here and a little there.

Don't worry about the cut. It's a show body 100%. So as long as it looks nice sitting there, I'm fine. Now I just have to buy a micro for the other body....

Got all the cars trimmed last week and got 'em all masked this weekend. I started cutting out the designs tonight.

There's no way in hell I'm gonna be able to do the RCNT header. I'm gonna have to redesign that similar to the others. I'm just not taht good with the knife. A few more hours of cutting and I'll be spraying paint.

Yes, tonight is the night. I'm actually starting to spray. This should go rather quickly for 6 bodies.

I know I've been keeping the design theme behind closed doors but this is the general look of all of them give or take minor adjustments of course. Nothing too crazy here just some large faux vents.

Well, intricate detail with any type of paint pen is basically impossible if you want a quality result. Too thin, too unpredictable. These are not going to be as nice as I intended them to be. I'm very frustrated.

How intricate are you trying to go? And I'm assuming you used those micro-thin pens? Those are tough. I just use a regular thin point. But there are limits on how thin you can go with those. Guess it's a tough call which one to use. Don't worry. I'm sure they'll look awesome. After all, we are our own toughest critics.
