I know, your right Jeff. I was using the ultra-fine point. I wanted to trim all of the letters in black and I didn't want to attempt to do that much cutting cuz I knew I'd never get them finished if I did it that way. Throughout this project I've been attempting to balance creating a nice looking body without putting myself in the asylum so I was trying to figure out easier ways to do things. Sometimes there is no way but the hard way, especially when you are as hard on your work as I can be on my own. I think they will still look o.k. but not as "finished" as I wanted.

Sorry Rob. Yours was the test piece. I attempted to clean it up as much as I could but there's still obvious remnants of black.

The only thing left to do really is the darker blue base color. I still think I will try my hand at doing the linework on the body with the logo. I probably won't be able to do it quite as detailed as how it's drawn with Sharpie but it still could come out relatively nice.

One more teaser before I finish up. Hopefully I'll be able to finish spraying today and maybe start decals tonight.

those are looking awsome!!!!...i wish i was getting one forsure lol

Well, you gotta be in it to win it. But all are welcome. And the 2009 schedule is being prepared as we speak. All you need is the software and a controller. Probably cost you $50-$60 at most on Ebay...

what is vrcnt?..like how do you join and stuff like that?...and would i need to download stuff to my computer?

Yep, it's a lot cheaper to get into this year as opposed to last. I know we'll have at least 1 new racer this season with Racer1966. Hopefully a couple guys who are signed up but weren't able to participate much last year will be able to find time to fit the racing in their schedules this season.

VRCNT is a Virtual RC racing club that is dedicated strictly to RCNT members. VRC is a computer race simulator for r/c enthusiasts. The software is significantly cheaper these days as we look forward to the new version sometime this year. We will not be going to that version this season even if it does release in time which I personally do not expect it to. Currently, VRC is strictly on-road racing but off-road racing is in the future but it's been in the works for years now. Last season was a lot of fun and I think this year will be just as entertaining, especially if we get a couple more guys into it. Matter of fact, it's been months since I've even logged into our account. I should check on that.

i hear that...u are down to 15 a day...

That's a damn shame ain't it..heh

Gabe, I just finished doing the outline of the truck and it's not too shabby. My shaky ass hand doesn't help much but I think it'll look pretty decent when it's done. I'll post a pic of the outline work when I finish the car....

A little shaky (ran out of beer to settle my nerves :)

we should have a the big finished reveal sometime today. The covercoat is dry and I'm just about to peel off all the window masking. I need to paint the wings and that's it... oh yeah, still gotta do decals but that's easy.

The 4 blue and orange bodies are finished, they just need decals. I might be able to do that later today.
