What does it mean? What will happen? A lot of people are saying an early release of Halo 2 is what will happen when the timer runs out. I for one talked to my local Gamestop manager who has befriended me after a fews years of buying stuff and we hang out on the side some times, anyways he says no Halo 2 until Nov 9. At this point I want to believe the hype that Halo 2 is going to be released early but with what the Gamestop manager said to me makes me think. he would have to know of all people if they were getting a shipment of Halo 2 for Tuesday ( I asked him Sunday). We will see soon enough I guess but whatever it is it sure has caused quite the internet buzz (pun intended).

Well... the ILB game is just a promotion, as stated in the open letter to MS, Bungie, and fans. The most logical thing that can happen when the "Axons go hot" (end of countdown (6:07AM August 24th Tuesday)) is there will be a handout of some sort. Many believe it will be a Halo 2 demo disc. But it is also hinted at that at the end of the countdown a new game will begin, since this is suppossedly a trailhead for it. There is a lot of speculation as to what is going to happen and there is no hard evidence and no guarantees. There is a list of the places tomorrow that you can visit if you wish to do so and see what happens, it includes time for each location. Here is a site you can use... Well the part about the demo makes sense or goes along with my GameStop Managers take on it. He said he will be in Seattle this coming weekend at I think it was called a "Penny Arcade Convention" anyways that is a video game convention for people in the industry and he was saying he will get to play the beach level that was shown @ E3 along with some other yet to be released games. I think it is just too good to be true that they would release Halo 2 tomorrow. On the Halo 2 subject I live in a remote coastal community in northern Cali. There is 100k people in the whole county (which is bigger land wise than a lot of states) and they already have over 800 pre reserved copies of Halo 2 here locally. OMG that says so much if this po-dunk back water place has 800 copies pre reserved. I wonder how many total Bungie has sold to date?

looks like the closest coordinate to me is S.F. which is 4+ hrs away so on a workday I might not make that. Oooh well...........

I have 2 copies of the Collectors Edition preordered. Well, we know that at least 600,000 have Halo currently, plus the many more that I don't know of. Bungie has been making bank with the Halo game and Halo 2 will only bring in more. XBL and XBC will be swamped with people playing it online. I think it's gonna slow down everything. lol I can't wait for Halo 2, it's going to kick so much a$$. Anyway, you might have heard but Zoe over at Bungie has recently left Bungie, she was the contract artist and before she left she drew an incredible picture. The thing that doesn't make sense is that the co-ordinates in S.F. are not Gamestops as there is only one in the Lakeshore Plaza and the other co-ordiates to my knowledge are not video game shops. The suspense is killing me!!!!!

Lol, I can tell you right now it's not going to be the early release of Halo 2. In that letter MS stated that it was only a promotional thing to get the hype for Halo 2 up.

And the image is better if viewed at 1600X1200 and then viewed full... if you know what I mean.

When I saw the case for the CE of H2 I wanted it really bad, then decided to get two. I'm sure there are plenty of other people getting two copies too.

AXONS HAVE GONE HOT! There are groups of seven and a person calls a payphone in that area and asks for her name which is "Operator" and they're codeword which is given on the site and is the name for the patricular group of seven being contacted. So far we missed the first 7, got the next 2, and are working on the rest.

Ok so they seems to be sounds bytes being released if someone is actually at the phone as you say or whatever. I have listened to the two that were posted so far and the seem to be acted out portions of the Halo 2 story. Not very exciting really...........

OK, I'm confused. All I know is what I have been reading here. That ilovebees is supposedly hijacked. But that it's an ad campaign for Halo 2. Right? This morning I looked because all hell was supposed to break loose. So I go to the page with the sound bites on it. OK, here's the confusing part. Under each of the times listed, there appears to be coordinates which point to places all over the country. What do those mean? I mapped a few of them and they are all over the place. Baltimore, Philly, New Hampshire, Iowa and I'm sure some on the west coast.
So what are we to make of this?

And from what I was listening to, it doesn't sound much like I'd expect Halo 2 to sound like. One of the women's voices sounded like Cortana. But that's the most I could get out of it.

The locals are supposedly pay phones that will ring, if there is a person there to answer the phone they are asked the codename : Operator, and the keyword for each location example the Santa Monica location the keyword is nervous. That is the best I understand it. Tech TV is going to do coverage from the Santa Monica location around 11:00a Best coast time.

In early July, an AI named Melissa crash landed, badly damaged, onto the server that hosts my aunt's website. The AI tried to orient and repair itself. The result: It turned 'I Love Bees' into a holy mess.

Now we're investigating the mess. And we need all the help we can get.

Here's what we know so far:

Melissa, a.k.a. "The Operator," used to run communications on a ship. The ship's purpose: to spy on an enemy known as "the Covenant."

The Operator has started communicating again. It's constructing hundreds of "roads" out of the 'I Love Bees' server. The roads all lead to payphones. And the phones are ringing.

We don't know why it's broadcasting, but the Operator is giving us GPS coordinates for the phones, and times to show up. So we are. We're collecting its fragmented messages and trying to put them back together.

Here's what else we know:

When the Operator crashed on the 'I Love Bees' server, it didn't come alone.

It came with two autonomous programs:
1) the SPDR, designed to repair damage to the Operator, and
2) the Pious Flea, designed to... well, we're not sure yet.

The SPDR brought the Operator back to life. But now the Operator is taking orders from the Pious Flea. So when the SPDR tried to eliminate the Flea, the Operator killed it.

We don't know much about the Flea, except that it wants "to seek, behold, and reveal the truth."

There is one other voice we've found on the site: The Sleeping Princess.

The Sleeping Princess uses Aunt Margaret's email account and error pages to share secrets and play games with us. We're not sure where she came from.
