at the moment my car is running on a 2 speed gearbox and there is now a metal gearbox but in single speed. If i buy it what effects would it have on the car, would it make it slower?

Slower intial acceleration and probably slower top speed. On the plus side, it is tougher and simpler.

ok. One of my gears are stripped (the biggest gear of the two) and is it possible to run it with one gear, heres a pic of the gear box.

No, it won't run properly with the smaller gear only. If you jam the clutch shose for the two speed it will run but as the gear is much "faster" the acceration will be very slow and you will overheat the engine due to high loading. It just won't run properly by starting at second gear. Get a replacement 1 st gear if possible. If not just go for the single speed conversion and makes sure you gear it properly. :)
