Hey everyone. I just rebuilt my first rc nitro car. It’s the .15 rustler. I’m looking for wheels and tires. The ones they sell 5574r front and 5572r rear are like 50 bucks I’m looking to spend less. I’m finding it very difficult to find front tires and rims. The rustler fronts have ball bearing with no hex. Every tire I click on they seem to be hex all around. So I’m looking for a fairly good cheaper set. Any help would be appreciated. Ty in advance.

Not sure about the cost effectiveness but does give you more wheel choices. You can put the front c-hub with a hex mount spindle from a 2wheel drive Slash and can use the newer 2.2 rims

So would it be safe to say I have to get 2.2 in tires for all 4 rims?

And what about the rear wheels to match them? Looks like they are a set of 4 spindle wheels?
yes those wheels require a 2.2 tire.
and yes you would need a set of rear wheels to go along with them, which i think is a hex on the nitro rustler. but, they don't make a hex in that exact wheel. you would need JConcepts "Super Dish 2.2" wheels for the back.
but
i did some test fitting last night after i posted and my RC10T3 spindle mounts don't fit my electric rustler. T3 has a 3/16 axle and has a 3/16x3/8 bearing in the wheel. my electric rustler has a 5mm axle so the bearing that won't fit. so unless the nitro rustler has a smaller 3/16 axle those wheels won't fit. been so long sense iv dealt with a nitro rustler i don't remember.
bust out a pair of calipers and measure your axles before you spend any money.

this would be the best route to go if the electric parts would bolt up to the nitro arms. the slash, rustler, stampede, and maybe bandit all use the same front end and use a hex. it would give you a much bigger wheel selection. but idk if the C hubs or maybe even just the knuckles (?) would bolt over.
