ohhhh thanks so much for clearing that up because i have been planning on gettin a xxx-nt and this deal through me off and i know that they are worth more than that.

Yeah, I haven't seen them anywhere as an RTR for less than $329. That's what I paid for mine 2 years ago... aparently a lot of this stuff doesn't come down in price much.

yeah that definantly sucks how nuthing gets cheaper.... :( its an expensive hobby

Check ebay and the FS Forum. You should be able to find one for around $200. I know I've seen a few. If you buy a new one, it will looked used after one outing anyway. No point in paying full price just for the first day of shiny looking stuff.

I traded mine to a guy for a maxx (I got screwed... long story), but I would have easily let it go for $200 and it was in complete working condition with lots of spare parts and upgrades. The body looked like crap, but that could have been easily fixed for $25.

yah that truck is the regualversion, kinda like the rc10gt team. it doesn't come with any nice parts that the drake edition comes with, it's basically the rtr stripped down with no engine or radio

Thanks for the ideas but I'm brand new to the hobby so id like to get new product so i can learn ow to break engines in and all of the newb stuff, not just to go out and run it. My lhs also supprots losi and sells many losi products so i will buy from there.

It was just a thought. If you buy used for $200, buy a new engine with the $ you saved, but learn with the one that comes on it. Some of the newbie stuff isn't all the cheap to learn about. That way, you can toast an engine that came in it, then break in the new one...

Thanks nice find. I've been looking on e-bay every ow and then but its sort-of out of of my way and i am just 15 so credit cards and such... its too much of a trouble, it will probably in the end save me a bit of money and might be worth it but i might wait untill i get a bit older to start buying things online and I have been told many bad things about credit cards lol. So as i said be4 once the money pops up my lhs is my next trip. Thanks guys for all you help and I'm sure ill be back here asking many questions.

It's the same as an HPI electric buggy kit. Just the basic kit, no extras. No radio or receiver, no engine, no servos. Get all the parts and you're about at the RTR price.

HPI makes a buggy? I've never seen one, are you sure?

I think you are looking at a Traxxas Bandit.

HPI. Electric. Belt driven 4WD. My neighbor owns a LHS and did the building of it for the customer. Baja VW body came with it. Since I can't remember the exact name of it, I'll get more info for you later.

I think you may just see a custom one but it may be just a body as they do carry the vw bug body .You can mount it on a NMT2 or a rush

The HPI kit I referred to earlier is the RS4 MT. It came with the Baja bug body.

Apparently it's listed as an MT, or monster truck but I thought it would be concidered a buggy since it is fairly low, and doesn't have monster tires.

I can't believe that Ultimate Hobbies still has the XXX-NT Kit?!? Wow! That has been discontinued from Losi for a while now. Back when, there were three versions of the XXX-NT you could get - the RTR with RTR parts made in Japan, the Kit with standard parts no made in Japan, and then the Drake which is graphite everything. If that kit is the middle grade kit, its not a bad deal nor kit! You add your own motor, radio and servos and the setup is better than a Sport/RTR but just doesn't have the graphite and Ti setup like the Drake. Cool find! Thought they were all gone, but I guess they still have them.

i called em, sold out :censored: all i needed was a roller and that was perfect :depress:

I figured as much! They need to update the site then. Like I said, it has been a LONG time since Losi produced that truck! I know of two of them locally and I have one of them.
