Feels like forever ago when I started this build. I got it with zero intentions of going this far with upgrades. Just couldn’t resist the urge. I’ve been waiting on gears for some time now as some may know.
Well, the Losi on Losi gear seemed to resolve my issue with the rear binding in the new bulkhead. Super excited to have this rig done and ready to rip in the spring!

Actually, I did! The rear shock tower screws need to be cut down a bit so I can put the nut back on them! Good eye

It’s an expensive rig, I’m hoping the smiles are worth it though!

Thank you! Definitely a beast of its own!

So I tried the stock ring and pinion and has issues where the pin to hold the outdrive cup would not go in as the stock ring gear had a lip that sticks up further than Losi gears or other manufactured gears. I went ahead and ordered a Losi 5T 2.0 ring gear and got the diff together. Put it in the bulkhead and had binding due to the stock pinion gear having different tolerances than the Losi gear. FINALLY received my Losi pinion gear and it meshed up absolutely perfectly to the Losi ring gear. So it just needed some Losi on Losi gear action
