Ok I have a 1990 celica GTS All stock.
I am looking to spend about 6 Grand on it I need a new engine...exuast.and paint.
What should I get?

trade it in, and use your 6g's plus the car to make a healthy down payment.

if your dead set on keeping it, a nice paint job will run you 2k, exhaust: cat back, 500ish, head back 1000ish, that leaves up to 3k for the engine. you can get a remanufactured engine, or rebuild what you have with some extra performance.

Can't get rid of it the wife won't let me
So I need more power,,and some better rims.

The cat back is a given!
I need a Mill for it I can go a little higher like 7 or 8 G's

does the engine need rebuilt? how many miles on the car. i get the impression you want someone to tell you to turbo it. but i can tell you from experience your budget isnt high enough to make it reliable. you could always rebuild the motor and beef up the trans and throw some nitrous on it. i know i had a lot of fun with that stuff, and if its properly set up, its nowhere near as hard on a car as most people lead you to belive. i had less trouble running nitrous on my car, than i do with my turbo setup. now i just keep finding drivetrain weakpoints.

I just want a drop in engine w/ more hp LOL I don't want a turbo or any thing  may be A bigger 4 cyl. than the 2.2 thats in it now..

then call your local auto machine shops and ask what they can do for you. they can order oversized pistons when rebuilding, port and polish the head, 5 angle valve job, port the intake manifold, aftermarket cams, etc. then go get yourself a quality intake, set of headers, cat-back exhaust, and find out what guys are using for engine management upgrades on that car. just a basic "chip" or "ecu upgrade" is all you will need to make the most of those modifications.

What's in it now, the 22 R?
Yep! And its tired almost 200 grand on it now I drive it pretty hard.Just put a new clutch in it and new axels..

How about just giving the car to the wife and take the money you would've spent on the upgrades for a downpayment on a new car.

I hear you there I sold my 400 hp Satelite when my son was born. If I still had it I thought I wouldnt be able to drive it with the price of gas, it got 7 mpg highway and around 3 mpg in town yikes!!!

Is that leaking from the gas tank?

Theres not to much to do with Toyota engines besides basic bolt ons. Id rebuild the 22R, get a header, Bigger cams, titanium springs, Fuel rail, Cold air intake, cat back exhuast and maybe a jet programmer. As far as exterior, Id get a body kit molded into it, and get a nice sold paint job.. (can't go wrong with ket black) (Black rims with chrome lip, and tinted windows...mmm) and also some coilovers...
Zandor check out my auto forum www.atomicz.com and post something up in the forum. Someone there will be able to steer ya in the right direction (I'm Knoc on the btw). A buddy of mine also own a fabrication and performance shop here called Pik (www.PIKFabrications.com) and hell give ya the best prices around..
