I have been making my own bread on the weekend and eating it all week.

So now I kinda want to do something with the home made bread. I’m going to make a French onion soup this weekend.

Elk butt again

Cracked pepper and fancy black garlic infused salt rub with thyme from the garden. That was thrown into a bag and into the food sucker. It then went into the hot tub for 24hrs, then I browned it in bacon grease in a cast iron skillet for a finish. Smells kinda good...

Oh, ok. I believe "pork butt" comes from the shoulder area.

Wow! 24 hour soak at 130 on a cut of meat that's not very tough to begin with makes for a prime rib consistency once you sear it off. Wish I woulda made some horseradish sauce for it now!

While picking up motor oil from my local Super Walmart, I figured out what to make going for dinner. French bread pizza.
Sauteed up onions, red peppers, and baby Bella's and some frozen meatballs for toppings. Mine had plenty of oregano and red pepper flakes. Delish!
