Anyone here use Retrospect backup software?
I'm sitting here at the store its 7:00 on Friday night and my external HD tells me its full. I use it exclusively for an on site backup unit.

I burn off MANY DVDs of the last years worth of backup files and delete them from the drive. Now when I run the backup its telling me to go Fu&k my self.

If anyone has cardinal knowledge of this software I would like to contact them tomorrow to help guide me through the backup set setup. Otherwise I will have to hang till Tuesday for tech support. I KNOW as a matter of how the universe works, I will have a hard drive crash between now and then. I believe my name was Murphy in another life and if it CAN HAPPEN, It WILL!

How big is the drive you have the good data on?

Retrospect sucks as far as I am concerned.....but I ahve only used it one.

I would siggest getting a larger external and do a clone of the full drive to it. you can then sort out the stuff yoyuo can trash and use the new one for the main back up and the old oe for incremental archives.

I will PM you my number.....I do this stuff for a living.....of course I dont know everything (only a fool would claim that) but as for data and such I been there done that.

Mike
