Hey guys, I have a XTM 457 in my tmaxx. It has a couple gallons run through, runs like a champ. However, when the time comes, I will get a Lrp Spec 4 engine ($179) but I found a SH 28 Sleeve and piston on my local classifieds. Do you know if these parts are compatible, and if so, I could do a sleeve and piston rebuild with this? Thanks.

more than likely no redcat and traxxas are not swappable in parts . but pull out your calipers and measure. I've seen many many mods in rc..let us know what you comeup with..I think both those motors have different strokes..

they are both SH based, but the different companies typically modify the sleeve and piston, so i would be unsure if it would fit or not. if you do, definitely make sure that you rotate the crank, and have proper clearance for the piston compared to the head.
if you do definitely keep us posted.
have heard of people piston/sleeve swapping before but typically requires some machining, but that was mostly people putting Nova stuff in other things or O.S.
