Looking for inpit from XRT owners...

Regarding the Hobbywing Max6 ESC there are a plethora of settings I can adjust. Most are pretty self explanatory, but 2 have me asking questions.

1) For those that run the Max6 in the XRT what do you set brake force to? Mine is set at 50% and when I brake, even slightly, the truck flips forward. I'm going to reduce that percentage but don't want to go too far because I want to maintain my ability to adjust pitch in flight. What settings have some of you landed on for brake force?

2) There's another setting for turbo timing, which seems like overclocking for electric motors. Up the voltage, up the RPMs, up the heat generation (and stress). Have anyone played around with upping the turbo timing? I have Hyperflow fans so cooling isn't a big concern, but stress on the drivetrain certainly is. Again just looking for what others have used and settled on.

Thanks!!

Unless your perusing trophies , plaques and badges leave those settings alone , they just shorten run times as for brakes , some WAC’s are particular on those settings some aren’t if it’s locking up brakes on 50% , and you go to 30% you might loose air control some WAC’s 50% is perfect , so there’s a hit hitch in your get along I’m guessing , I’ve seen that my self , good luck , ide go to 30% see what happens , might be perfect for your esc 💪💪

Haha thats perfect advice to give a man. I know your truck can go faster by adjusting a setting, but don't because it'll shorten battery times. (Obvious sarcasm here)

Of course as a guy the first thing I want to do is see how fast this thing can go so we're gonna give it a go 😀

I did adjust the brakes down and it appears to work much better! The NB4 remote also has an ABS function which functions great with the 30% brake setting!

If I do start adjusting the turbo settings it'll be little by little so we don't overheat anything. Gotta be safe 😀

Oh , I don’t know ,,,,, my two fires were exciting 😂😂😂
My main problem right now is that every time I turn the ESC off/on it loses the throttle config settings. The red light blinks and beeps non stop until I reconfig again.

Hoping that isn't intended operation, I'm guessing the ESC should be remembering how the throttle position was configured.

Some people max everything out on the ESC and use the radio to tune their throttle and braking. This allows you more adjustments and curves. Personally I use a mix of ESC and radio to tune.

That certainly sounds more convenient, but Id be concerned specifically about maxing the turbo timing as it said it could feed up to 20% extra voltage to the motor. That seems like it could be dangerous for components if not adjusted in a deliberate manner.

I think I'll follow a mix of ESC and radio adjustments. The NB4+ has plenty of options for adjustment (frankly more than I understand at this point), but the ESC allows for easy bluetooth adjustments of certain critical settings.

Right now I'll settle for the dang thing remembering my throttle config settings, this is rather annoying.
