I am doing my research and trying to decide which electric touring sedan to get in to. I thought I had my choices narrowed down to either the new Team Associated TC4 or Losi XXX-S graphite (leaning more towards the losi).

It was suggested to me by a friend to look into the Xray. Does anyone here race it or have any experience with one? I do plan to race my electric sedan on carpet during the winter season so any input would be greatly appreciated.

HERE's the link to a picture of it on the Team Xray site

Try asking out your teammates what they are running. If you get a car they know they can help you out with the setup. @ SS here is the list what majority of drivers are using Losi,TC3,Pro4, I think one or two drivers are using the X ray

Well that's the thing, everyone I know runs either the losi xxx-s, TC3 and you're the only one I know that has the G4. Jamie's step son was running the Xray up at prospeed but never really took a good look at it. I saw the G4 when you were running and it looks real good but never saw it on carpet.

I may just take a trip out there to SSH when I have no work and see what's being run as well as see a few people I haven't seen in a while.

It's the Pro4 there are about 4 to 5 guys runnning it everyone else it's losi,tc3

I know just yanking you around.
The Pro4 was on the money last night just had major glitching problems every heat tryed something new but it keep getting worst after the third qualifier found the issue & the car was awesome in practice time but then in the mains F**KIN glitches got worst I'm just gonna have to change the battery connectors

Anything built by Xray is top shelf.
You touched on something important in the thread above. There is something to be said about having support from other drivers when racing. If several drivers have the same car you will be able to swap parts if you go down. Nothing is worse than sitting around watching the a-main because you don't have a part.

Just my thoughts.

The most that I seen that had to be repaired on a average used X Ray was a belt & bearring from a top racer that I know & he still won the A main in touring Mod with his xray & it was a 2wd since his belt broke after the third lap.

hey Diver i just got a new tc4, since i got into nitro late in the season i'd figured i'd get an electric to sharpen my skills over the winter. the tc4 was easy to put together the fit and finish was right on the money the way associated kits are. the only problem i've seen is the availability of parts if you break something on the tc4. the front end is different than the other associated cars and i don't beleive parts are available yet. as for handling the car is on rails and i haven't even tweaked it yet. some of the parts are interchangable between the ntc3, tc3 and tc4 such as diff cases and so-on. i race it on carpet with the car and have been happy. the only reason i did not buy the x-ray was that i have all the tools for my ntc3's which i have 3 of, and i figured that i would stick with the product i was already familiar with. i never had an electric tc3 so i can't tell you if the tc4 is any better. hope i helped, maybe i'll see you at the races soon.
