For those of you with an xr10, you might want to do this.

I ate the stock bearings real fast, then upgraded to a kit from Acer, was like $100. I've been through 4 of their bearings and 7 transfer gears in the front axle.
Although I have gone back to 3s instead of 4s, this is still necessary.

Took the motor plate out, and all three acer bearings fell apart. (8mm)

Drilled the holes out and installed 9mm Avid bearings..Also cut out the bottom mount so you dont have to take the left axle out to remove the plate.

Wont install it till tomorrow, thats when my Vanquish trans case will be here which is aluminum, alot tighter than the stocker as well as better bearings...

Wow nice lil mod, I will own an xr10 someday

Pretty nifty. I have punched a lot of stuff out for bigger bearings before. Seems like nothing gets overkill when it comes to bearings. I never understood that.

Yeah bearings suck lol
