What do you guys think about this Traxxas Xmaxx 8s with a bunch of non stock parts being sold for $550?

Something is probably wrong with that. The esc/motor combo is worth almost that much. If you think its legit, buy it.

Heck, I'd buy it just for the parts I need to finish our X-Maxx build. That's not a bad deal at all if it works and nothing is broken in the drivetrain or electronics. You can replace every bit of those plastic parts for less than $200 (minus the arms) I think.
 
Check each arm. Look for bearing play, driveshaft slop, steering wheels that have play, and arm play. If it passes those, I would consider it, as long as it drives.
 
I'd buy it. I need parts. Even if the electronics are fried, and I doubt they are, its worth that to me. The M2C parts alone probably cost close to that price.
