x4 wheel drive to x2 wheel

I have a x4 wheel drive nitrotek condor. The gearbox which has the spur gear is in the centre of the chassis which has a front and rear driveshaft going to each diff and i was thinking. I want to run just the rear wheels for a x2 wheel drive car so could i just take out the front driveshaft?

Thats a good question. I did this on my tmaxx after breaking a front shaft, but I tried it on my 1/8th buggy after messing up a front cvd and it wouldnt work, the rear wouldnt engage for some reason without the front being hooked up.

I don't see why you couldn't do it, I say try and let us know how it goes. Why do you want it to be rear wheel drive only???
