Ok,

We all heard how fast some onroad RC cars are capable of going. I have yet to see a video of say an rc touring car keeping pace with a full size car.

Imagine some guys in a convertable on the highway. One person driving someone else with the radio and the rc car moving up along side. Have James Bond Theme Music in the background with the sound of the engines.

Makes me wonder Why this hasn't this been in a James Bond or other action movie yet?


On a road that has hair pin turns a full size car would have to slow down. The rc car I would think would be more agile and have an advantage.
For a stunt the RC car could weave in and around the full size car or cars.

Anyone from Myth Busters listening?

The thing with that is you can't run a rc engine at wot for long cause its gonna let go. I would be cool tho.

Doesn't have to be full throttle. It will already look real at 1/2, 3/4 throttle.

The r/c would be at a disadvantage because the imperfections of the road will cause the r/c to crash. The road would have to be perfectly flat and free of pebbles for the r/c to run.

someone at southeast was dropping his shumacher menace 3speed off after attempting that on the sawgrass expressway....it was not pretty what hitting a reflector in the road did to it..he said they hit 68mph..if you got endless amounts of cash to do it be my guest......do this one: chase your neighbors car down the street w/ a nice serpent 710 and run underneath them as they are only going 30mph.....then realize you're an idiot when they arent leaving the street yet but decide to turn into another driveway to pick someone up....yeah I saw that one last year myself and just had to laugh my ass off.....

Also reminds me of Oceans Eleven. In the scene with the mormon twins they are racing an rc car with the real 1:1, and thr RC gets smashed :hammer:

Didn't they also do that in the movie Runaway with Gene Simmons, although I think the car had rocket packs on it or something. Reminds me of the Darwin Awards JATO story..

I saw Dead Pool. The RC Car chase was not exactly what I was thinking of but it was really cool.

Jim Carry lip syncing Axle Rose, For some reason I was expecting to see Slash in the bed during the Exorcist scene Maybe because the hair on the dummy looked like it taken straight off Slash's head. And Slash looks to me like a hat with hair coming out of it in the Guns N Roses videos.

The little black rc car looked like it was electric.

I got to check out the other movies mentioned.
