I bought a tmaxx.Fired right up.Then ,I realized that when I throttled it don't move.I found it has no clutch pads. Can this be why I was having trouble tuning the motor?Ran rich! gas going out of the pipe, lots of smoke. Then I leaned it,but still acted funny. It's before the fact I,realized, I had NO clutch lol??Does it need a load on the motor to tune??

Nope you can't do any tuning until you get the clutch back up and going. You will have no way of know how an unloaded engine will really run once it has some weight to pull.

She may have a perfect tune while sitting there but once you start rolling around the mass of the car will put different strains on the motor and she may not even run because it was tuned without any "pressure" on the motor. You need a clutch setup before you can go any further

Yea, thanks guys! Now I have some control of tuning her thanks!!Sucks down lots of gas?Wow 2.5 to a 3.3 is night and day difference.Oh yea,and the 10lbs. difference from a nitro rustler!!Wow that t-maxx gobbles gas!!!
