Just installed Windows 7 beta on a pc I'm planning on using for a HTPC. Do we have any computer geeks also testing Windows 7? Any hits or tips to know about the new OS?

i dont have any certs.. i have vista on my laptop which is a 64bit amd with 2 gigs of ram. it runs very well on it. i can't complain. it is however only running in 32bit mode.Beason,
Do you have any MS certs? If so, then you can go to: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/beta-download.aspx - from there you can get a 32-bit or 64-bit activation key. I think the download links are not working from MS anymore so you'll have to find it on a bit-torrent or something and then use the key you got from the above link.
I HATED vista with a passion, this machine I'm running on is a dual core 3.2Ghz with 4GB RAM and it seemed like it crawled as bad as an old PII... horrible. Windows 7 on the same computer is a very noticable difference.
The thing that's taking a few to get used to is the new task bar, other then that I can't wait to hook this up to the TV and give it a spin.

A Mac IS a PC. PC = Personal Computer, not "Windows Computer".
