It really depends on what you want to do with it. If you just want to bash around the neighborhood then I think the desert truck would be your best bet, becuase it would handle offroading a bit better. However if you want to go race then I think the speed T is the way to go. It really just depends on what you want to do.

If you want to do hjgh speed off road then get the desert rat and down the road put a nice brushless motor and esc combo in it less maintenece and more speed...good luck!!!!

Those trucks are totally different as the 2nd one is set up for lipo batteries and also comes with a brushless system installed. However that desert rat is one awesome looking truck!! I would like to get my hands on that d/rat motor if anyone has an extra?

I would say go with the desert rat truck, and just do the brushless motor like said before. The drat looks better than the other too.
