I NEEED one of those RB airfilters... but I can't get myself to pay that much for an airfilter. I know, its a necessity but I have 2 cars to fix before I can drive at all.

The higher initial cost of the RB filters comes with 4 extra foams. Not bad considering motorsavers foams cost about 5.00 per set.

I heard that the RB filters AREN'T reusable, anyone back this up? And the end cap you are talking about it the piece that holds the foam in its position?
