Almost done. I am still waiting on my brushless system and I'm going to order a few more upgrades like I mentioned above.
I think she is looking good.

Modeled up the Deadbox chassis and designed and 3d printed a body mount to glue to the back of the van body. Then I began getting the upgrades going. Carbon fiber rails and steering links are going on right now.

Swapped out the blue spring gold anodize buggy shocks on the front of Rusty for a pair NIB TRX Rustler bought off Ebay. While about it, fit a NIB set of RPM Heavy Duty camber links FR and RR. Those have been in the basher stash for years. Removed a set of Ti adjustables.

Ran about half a pack through in a test session front of the house. A.O.K. Cheers. 'AC'

Finally received my Furitek brushless system and installed it. It is amazing but I'm having some speed issues but I'll figure it out.
I took a couple of pics and made a short video just to show how slow this thing will climb and to show how small the 1/24s really are.

It's amazing, you hold the throttle as lite as possible and it keeps consistent speed. I love it.
Yeah, that FOC control is pretty crazy. It keeps the vehicle going the same speed, regardless of the obstacle it faces. Unlike regular ESC's that will only put out current based on where the trigger is, the FOC adjusts the current output based on the load on the ESC. At least I think that is the way it works when I read about it. It's really pretty cool however that poop works 😜

Comp day. Washed my tires. So sticky now

Lol. Nope. Simple green, then a tooth brush, then rinse and dry. I usually use dish soap but I think we’re doing the log pile climb today. That warrants the next level sticky of the green!
Good to know. I have never tried simple green on them.

Best kept secret in the rc world. Should be done every battery. You should see how well a 24 climbs after. Mostly a buggy and sct trick. Almost like cheating on a crawler.
Thanks. Will definitely juice up some tires thr next time the kiddo and I have a little competition 🤣

Playing around with wheels and body.
Proline 2011 F250 cab on Rc4wd oem dually and 1/14 semi tires. The bed will be a proline utility bed, or I am gonna make a flat or dump bed.

Nothing today but still waiting on my 1/24 brass diff and some drive lines for my 1/10 crawler. Unfortunately I couldn't find any Vanquish for them so I had to go with a cheaper set. We will see that that turns out.

Accidentally applied a Rhino Lining texture to the Deadbox body, but I am happy it turned out this way because I was planning on roughing this thing up anyway. When I saw the airbrush start acting up I was like - Roll with it Baby!

Today my double barrel shock kit came for my SCX24. Installed them and sanded the corners down on the link bars. But now under mad flex, body rubs tires. Guess I'll be trimming the body unless someone has another idea
